The collection began with the challenge of creating simple yet striking earrings inspired by tropical hoops. FIORA NISHI revived the historic Dorset Knot, a 17th-century English craft nearly lost to industrialization. Combining the knot's rigid structure with fluid Indian hand-beading required persistence and precision. Indian artisans mastered the disciplined knot and then enriched it with luminous pearl and glass bead embroidery. The result is jewelery that unites two cultures, transforming a forgotten craft into wearable global artistry.
